Golden sails across the sky
I just heard that the Architect Joern Utzon died at the age of 90, today. I had no idea when I posted this image. As a student of art, majoring in modern architecture, I have written many essays on this building, and I never cease to be impressed when I see it in all its magnificence... after all these years.
Having a Whale of a time...
On Friday we went Whale Watching... my Christmas present for Sarah... It is the tail-end (no pun intended) of the Season as the whales have almost finished making their journey (with their new calves) heading south down the Eastern Coast of Australia. The Southern Humpbacks can reach a size up of up to 12 metres long and weigh up to 48 tonnes. They feed on krill, sardines, mackerel, anchovies and other small schooling fish.
